Living The Life...
Let's see. I work 12 hours at the office. When I come home I have a never ending list of projects, home maintenance needs, a honey-do list a mile long and bills to pay. Saturday, July 11, 2009
Thank You!

On July 3, 2009, I visited the National Infantry Museum at Ft. Benning Georgia. The museum opened on June 19, 2009. The entire experience was sobering. The main exhibit is entitled "The Last 100 Yards". This represents the fact that the Infantry always takes the last 100 yards in battle. As you walk the 100-yard exhibit, you experience 8 major battles from past to present. The atmosphere, the sounds, the video, the full scale figures, the tanks, the... It is all first class!
There are also separate exhibit halls on the upper and lower floors. After two visits I still have not been able to see all of the exhibits. But I plan several repeat visits to see it all.
To the men and women who have served in the infantry, I would like to say Thank You for going the last 100 yards.

Salsa And A Smoke!
OK, so my wife gets home from work tonight and tells me to go to the spare bedroom and wait. I do, and after a few minutes she says to come into the kitchen. The above pic (click to enlarge) is what I saw. As anyone who knows me knows, I love El Chico salsa. She had picked up some El Chico salsa and chips and a couple of cigars for me! The cig to the left is the Oliva Serie G, and to the right is one I have never tried, the Ashton #10 Maduro, which was recommended to her. I'll post a review once I've smoked it! What a great way to end the day. Well, I can think of something better, and hey...the night's not over yet :-)Dave
